Ying Tanis a fullprofessorof Peking University, director of Computational Intelligence Laboratory at Peking University, andthe inventor of Fireworks Algorithm (FWA). He worked as a professor ofFaculty of Design, Kyushu University, Japan, in 2018, at Columbia Universityas senior research fellow in 2017, and atChinese University of Hong Kong as research fellow, and at University of Science and Technology of China in 2005-2006 as a professor under the 100-talent program of CAS. He is the president of the IASEI, and alsoserves asthe Editor-in-Chief of IASEI Transactions on Swarm Intelligence, and International Journal of Computational Intelligence and Pattern Recognition(IJCIPR), the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics (CYB), Neural Networks,International Journal of Swarm Intelligence Research (IJSIR),etc. He also served as an Editor of Springer’s Lecture Notes on Computer Science (LNCS) for60+ volumes,andGuest Editors ofseveral referred Journals, includingIEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Information Science, Neurocomputing, Natural Computing,Swarm and Evolutionary Optimization,etc. He is the foundergeneral chair of theICSI International Conference series since 2010 and the DMBD conference series since 2016. He won the 2^nd-Class Natural Science Award of China in 2009 and 2^nd-Class Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education of China in 2019and many best paper awards. His research interests include computational intelligence,swarm intelligence, deep neural networks, machine learning, data mining, intelligent information processing for information security and financial prediction, etc. He has published400+ papers in refereed journals and conferences inthese areas,and authored/co-authored 18 books, including “Fireworks Algorithm” by Springer in 2015, and “GPU-based Parallel Implementation of Swarm Intelligence Algorithms” byMorgan Kaufmann (Elsevier) in 2016,and received 8inventionpatents.

Hai Zhang was born in 1975. He received the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, in 2012. He is currently a Professor with the School of Mathematics, Northwest University. His research interests include statistical machine learning, high-dimensional statistics, and differential privacy.

Fangming Liu received his B.Engr. degree from Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University, Beijing, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology; from 2009 to 2010, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada; from 2012-2013, he was a StarTrack Visiting Faculty in Microsoft Research Asia. His research focuses on distributed and networking systems

Professor Daojing He is a tenured faculty member at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Shenzhen. He currently serves as Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Executive Vice Dean of the Institute of Computing and Intelligence. He also directs the Guangdong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Cryptographic Application Innovation in Higher Education Institutions.
